Waterproofing
Interior and exterior foundation waterproofing, balcony and terrace membranes, crack injection, weeping tile and sump systems, for commercial and residential properties across southern Ontario.
Stop the water at the wall, not in the basement
Waterproofing done properly is an exterior job. Water is dealt with on the outside of the wall, before it reaches the structure, rather than being collected and pumped away after it has already got in. Where excavation is impossible, an interior drainage system is the right answer, but it is the second-best answer and we will tell you so.
Every project starts with an assessment of the foundation and the drainage around it. We look at where water is actually coming from, what the grade is doing, and whether the existing weeping tile is still working, then price the system that solves it rather than the one that is easiest to sell.
What the work includes- Exterior excavation to the footing, wall repair, membrane and dimpled drainage board
- Weeping tile replaced or restored and tied into proper discharge
- Interior perimeter drainage and sump systems where exterior access is blocked
- Crack injection under pressure for structural and cold-joint cracks
- Balcony, terrace and podium membranes that carry foot traffic
- Boiler, mechanical and compactor room floor systems
- Grading corrected so surface water leaves the building

The warning signs owners call us about
- Damp patches, white efflorescence or peeling paint on basement walls
- Water on the floor after heavy rain or snow melt
- Visible cracks in the foundation wall, especially ones that have grown
- A balcony or terrace that stains the ceiling below it
- A sump pump that runs constantly, or one that has never worked

Waterproofing, answered
Exterior, whenever it is possible. It stops water before it enters the structure instead of managing it afterwards. Interior drainage is the correct choice when the wall cannot be excavated, for example where a neighbouring structure sits tight against it.
A typical residential elevation is three to five working days including excavation, repair, membrane, drainage board, weeping tile and backfill. Commercial work is scoped after the site assessment.
Yes. The system is warrantied, and because Tricon Ontario Inc. is a full construction contractor the repair, the rebuild and the warranty all sit with one company.
