Our approach

Service is more
than skilled labour

Tricon Ontario Inc. has been in business for more than 20 years, providing full-service renovation and restoration for sites ranging from small residential properties to large commercial buildings. To us, service includes critically selecting the best materials, attentively planning the project from end to end, meticulously estimating costs so there are no unpleasant surprises, and always being available to answer questions.

Our estimates are always free — a zero-risk opportunity to see exactly what a project will entail, without pressure or obligation. And because we also run a 24/7 emergency restoration division, the company that repairs your building is the same one that will answer if something goes wrong at 2 a.m.

01 — Waterproofing

Keep water out
and keep it out

A wet basement is caused by water pressure — from heavy rain or melting snow — pushing through cracks in a foundation. It does not resolve on its own. Left alone it degrades the foundation, ruins finishes and creates the damp conditions mould needs.

Exterior waterproofing

Excavating to the footing, cleaning and repairing the foundation wall, then applying membrane and drainage board with new weeping tile preserves the structural integrity of the foundation and stops the deterioration of the wall itself. It is the most complete solution available, and where access allows, the one we recommend.

Interior waterproofing

Where the exterior wall cannot be reached — a neighbouring structure, a driveway, a deck, a city easement — interior systems manage water at the slab edge with a drainage channel, membrane and a sump. Done properly it is effective and far less disruptive.

Crack injection

Isolated foundation cracks in poured concrete can often be sealed from inside with polyurethane or epoxy injection — a same-day repair when the crack is the whole problem, and an honest recommendation when it is not.

02 — Roofing

Flat, sloped
and everything above

Roof problems lead to many more problems if left unfixed. Whether we are repairing or replacing, the goal is a long-term solution for the roof over your head — not a patch that buys a season.

Commercial flat roofing

As a commercial and residential flat roof replacement contractor in Toronto with decades of experience, we know that long-term performance depends on meeting the unique needs of each project: the deck condition, the insulation strategy, the drainage design and the traffic the roof will actually see. We work in modified bitumen, single-ply and built-up systems, and we stage work so occupied buildings keep operating.

Residential roofing

Shingle replacement done with the details that matter — ice and water shield at eaves and valleys, correct ventilation, proper flashing at every penetration — because most roof failures start at a detail, not in the field.

  • Flat roof replacement, repair and preventative maintenance
  • Shingle roofing, flashing, vents and skylight details
  • Roof drains, scuppers and drainage correction
  • 24/7 emergency tarping and leak response

03 — Caulking & Building Restoration

The joints are
the weak point

On a commercial building, the sealant joints are the first line of defence and the first thing to fail. The Tricon Ontario Inc. team can safely and efficiently perform building restoration and commercial caulking at any height or location — swing stage, boom lift or ground level. Hiring a team that specialises in this work is how you get a finished product that lasts.

Joint replacement is not a caulk-over. Old sealant is cut out completely, the joint is cleaned and primed, backer rod is sized to the movement the joint will actually see, and the new sealant is tooled to the correct profile. Done this way, a joint lasts fifteen to twenty years. Done the fast way, it fails in two.

  • Expansion and control joint replacement
  • Curtain wall, precast, masonry and window perimeter sealants
  • Swing stage and elevated access work
  • Parking garage and podium joint restoration
  • Masonry repair, tuckpointing and concrete restoration

04 — Exterior Caulking

Small gaps,
big energy bills

Our top-notch caulking services are tailored to meet the unique needs of your home. Whether it is sealing gaps around windows, doors or any other vulnerable area, our experienced professionals use high-quality materials and industry-leading techniques to provide a durable, long-lasting solution.

The payback is immediate and ongoing: less air leakage, lower heating and cooling costs, no water finding its way behind cladding, and no insects using a 4 mm gap as a front door.

  • Window and door perimeter sealing
  • Siding, trim, brick and stone transitions
  • Removal of failed sealant and proper joint preparation
  • Colour-matched, weather-rated products

05 — Aluminum Work

Soffit, fascia,
siding & eavestrough

We provide aluminum work including soffit, fascia, siding, eavestroughs, capping and railing. According to the different needs of each property, different shapes and profiles can be formed on site so the finished trim fits the building instead of forcing the building to fit stock lengths.

Eavestrough is the piece most people underestimate. Undersized troughs, poorly pitched runs and downspouts discharging beside a foundation are among the most common causes of the basement leaks we are later called to waterproof.

  • Seamless eavestrough formed on site, 5" and 6"
  • Soffit, fascia, capping and aluminum siding
  • Downspout extensions and drainage away from the foundation
  • Gutter guards and maintenance

07 — Interlocking & Retaining Walls

The base is
the whole job

If you are looking for a fast, friendly and affordable company, you are in the right place. We want to help by providing the best customer service possible — your satisfaction is our priority, and our pricing for interlocking and retaining walls is competitive across Ontario.

Settled, wavy interlock is almost never a paver problem. It is an excavation and compaction problem. We excavate to proper depth, build and compact the granular base in lifts, and detail edge restraint and drainage so the finished surface still looks new after ten Ontario winters.

  • Driveways, walkways, patios and pool surrounds
  • Segmental retaining walls, steps and garden walls
  • Grading and surface drainage away from the foundation
  • Repair and re-levelling of settled existing interlock

08 — Concrete & Asphalt

Surfaces that
carry the load

Get the peace of mind of knowing that trusted, high-quality professionals are handling your paving. Our contractors have years of experience and can tackle projects from big to small, with straight advice on what a surface actually needs.

Concrete and asphalt fail for the same two reasons: an inadequate base and water sitting where it should not. We scope both before quoting, so you are buying a surface with a lifespan rather than a resurfacing you repeat in three years.

  • Commercial parking lots, drive aisles and loading areas
  • Residential driveways, walkways, steps, porches and pads
  • Curbs, catch basin repair and drainage correction
  • Crack sealing, patching, resurfacing and line painting

Popular questions

Before you book

We excavate along the foundation to the footing, clean and repair the wall, apply a waterproofing membrane and a dimpled drainage board, then install or replace weeping tile bedded in clear stone and backfill in compacted lifts. Grading and downspout discharge are corrected at the same time so surface water is directed away from the building.
Almost always hydrostatic pressure. Heavy rain or melting snow saturates the soil around the foundation, and that water pushes through cracks, cold joints, form-tie holes and the joint between the wall and the slab. Blocked or collapsed weeping tile, negative grading and downspouts discharging beside the wall make it worse.
Moisture does not sit still. It degrades concrete and mortar through freeze-thaw cycles, rots framing and subfloor, ruins insulation, and gives mould the damp conditions it needs within 24 to 48 hours. A leak that costs a few thousand to fix today becomes a remediation and reconstruction project later.
Yes, and sometimes it is the right call — when the exterior wall is inaccessible because of a neighbouring building, a driveway, a deck or an easement, or when the project needs to be done in winter. Interior systems manage the water at the slab edge with a drainage channel and sump rather than keeping it out of the wall, so we will always explain the trade-off honestly.
A properly specified and installed system typically gives 20 to 30 years, but service life depends far more on drainage, detailing at penetrations and regular maintenance than on the membrane brand. We build a maintenance interval into every flat roof we install.
Yes. Our emergency services division runs 24 hours a day for water, fire, storm, sewage and mould emergencies, with a one-hour target response across the GTA and Hamilton — and the same crews carry out the permanent repairs afterwards.

Free estimates. Always.
