Aluminum work
Eavestrough, soffit and fascia
Seamless eavestrough formed on site with new soffit, fascia and downspouts discharged away from the foundation.
What we were looking at
The situation
Eavestrough is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance, and it is the cheapest part of a building to get wrong. A downspout discharging beside the wall will undo a waterproofing job that cost twenty times as much.
The trough was formed on site in one continuous length per run, so there are no seams to open up, and every downspout was extended clear of the foundation.
Scope of work- Seamless trough roll-formed on site, one piece per run
- Soffit and fascia replaced where the timber had gone
- Hangers set to the correct fall along the whole run
- Downspouts extended and discharged away from the foundation
- Drain covers and outlets left accessible for cleaning
Rainwater leaves the roof and the property instead of soaking the wall it just ran down.
