Emergency restoration
Commercial lobby structural drying
Dehumidifiers and air movers staged across a protected floor while moisture readings were logged daily until the slab and substrate were back to dry standard.
What we were looking at
The call
Drying is not the same as looking dry. A lobby floor can feel dry on the surface while the substrate underneath still holds enough moisture to lift the finish or grow mould weeks later.
We set equipment to the affected area, protected everything we were not drying, and logged moisture readings every day until the readings matched an unaffected control area.
Scope of work- Floor protection down before any equipment came in
- Dehumidifiers and air movers sized to the affected volume
- Daily moisture readings logged against a dry control area
- Scissor lift access for the high-level work
- Documentation handed to the property manager for the insurer
Dried to standard and documented, so the finishes went back down once rather than twice.
